Vietnamese coffee is one of the must-try things when you travel to Ho Chi Minh city. Ca phe , Vietnam And below is my top vintage coffee which bring really unique Vietnam atmosphere in the old time.
Tiệm Cafe Saigon Retro
Cafe Saigon Retro is located in Tran Quoc Toan street (District 3). This coffee shop took the inspiration from the old Saigon in 1960s. This place has really quite, calm atmosphere together with many old style panels, cassette.
The beverages and music here will bring you the the memorry and feeling of the Saigon back to the old days.

This coffee shop is in a small alley in Le Van Sy Street, ward 13, Phu Nhuan District. This place is actually a ancient house which has many retro decorations such as stamps collection, black and white TV, old watch, sewing machine, old money.
One thing the local people really enjoy when they come to this place is the music. This place usually plays the Vietnamese songs from really famous song writter name Trinh Cong Son. Our parents grew up and falled in love with his music.
This place also has a quite atmosphere, together with the music, somehow heal the tired souls in this big, busy city, some “lost stars, try to light up the dark”.

Cheo Leo Cafe
Cheo Leo coffee is one of the oldest coffee shop in Ho Chi Minh. Different with other coffee shops in this list. Cheo Leo is small coffee (without AC) located in a small alley in Nguyen Thien Thuat Street (District 3) and little bit more crowded with local people here. The special features about this place is that it like a gate way for you to see the coffee habit of the people in the past true and lively.
This place keeps using the traditional technique of “cooking coffee” to brew the coffee, which also creates a unique coffee taste, a little bit less strong like the “tear drop” technique in other coffee shop. This place plays song from 70s 80s both in Vietnamese and English song. I really enjoy visiting this place in the morning, drink a Bạc Xỉu (milk coffee with a little amount of coffee) listen to the old songs.
Visit Cheo Leo – the oldest coffee shop in Ho Chi Minh city.
